Interesting and enjoyable. Lovely and fascinating tour with fantastic food and drinks. Although we live locally the tour proved both really interesting and introduced us to a number of food and drink makers, vendors and venues we would never have found on our own. Our guide, Heather was friendly, knowledgeable and ensured we were really well looked after. I would certainly recommend this particulars tour, and am already figuring out which one we could go on next.Posted on Google![]()

Another amazing tour with Mikey. What a day! Even the horrendous rain didn’t dampen our delight! From beautiful pastries at the Albert Dock (Rough Handmade), amazing aromas of tea at the Liverpool Tea Warehouse and a mix of Spanish (Lunya) and Italian (Hey Farina) food to die for. And to top it a visit to a cell at The Bridewell which made us laugh a lot. Everyone at the venues was so friendly and of course Mikey as always was charming. I would recommend this tour for an amazing day of fabulous food and lots of information about Liverpool. Brilliant!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Plenty to eat Wonderful way to spend a bank holiday in Chester. From the Town Hall, out along Northgate Street then around the walls before a little detour over the Old Dee Bridge to Handbridge and back again. Plenty to eat with some beer and wine. Guide Mal was a great host. Put your comfy shoes on as we walked about 2.5 miles including up and down the City wallsPosted on Google![]()

My wife booked the Liverpool Wine Tasting tour and I was nothing but impressed. Mikey was the perfect host - very professional, passionate and knowledgeable. We visited 4 venues, 3 of which we’d never knew existed - and we will 100% return. I’d highly recommend this experience to friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate booking again in the future.Posted on Google![]()

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the best time on the wine tour yesterday with Mikey! 🍷 He was absolutely fantastic! so knowledgeable, friendly and clearly passionate about Liverpool. Mikey took us to some amazing hidden gems that we would never have found ourselves, and what really stood out was how he knew all the names of the staff and history behind every place we visited. We had such a brilliant day, discovered some fantastic places and enjoyed some lovely wine along the way! 🍷🥂 Would 100% recommend Mikey and the tour to anyone wanting to see a different side of Liverpool. Gareth provided the best walking food tour we have ever been on! He informed us of pertinent history and stories along the route we took, very engaging and easy to speak with. He also curated specialized food stops of small local owners that are 5 star! Everything we ate is something we would definitely come back for the next time we are in Liverpool! I would recommend him to everyone we know coming to the areas he covers.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

We had such a lovely time at the Cheshire wine and cheese tasting and vineyard visit. Gareth was a brilliant guide and made the whole experience feel relaxed, interesting and really enjoyable. We loved hearing about the vineyard, learning more about the wine and, of course, sampling the wine and cheese! It was a really lovely evening and something we’ll definitely remember. We’d highly recommend it. 😊Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Anniversary treat Brilliant! Booked the tour to celebrate our Ruby wedding anniversary, something different. It certainly was that. Even though we spent the afternoon avoiding the rain, we were treated to an experience. Great food & wine at 4 places we’ve never been to before. Definitely “stuffed” when we finished. Particularly enjoyed the Polish pancakes, the hosts at The Shed were extremely welcoming. The Tanners tour was also a treat. I’d definitely recommend it. Plus I have a garlic intolerance & all the venues accommodated my needs brilliantly. Thanks Brian & thanks for the anniversary card.Posted on Google![]()

Incredible Experience We chose to do this tour independent of our cruise. It did not disappoint. Gareth's communication was great and he responded very quickly and kindly to any questions. Trev was our guide. He reached out to us the day prior to make sure we knew the meeting point and who he was. He text the day of and the meeting was pleasant and smooth. My wife and I have done many many excursions. I honestly can say he was the best guide we have had. He was kind and knowledgeable. He was very aware of my wifes diet and made sure our stops accommodated this. He made sure before we separated that we were comfortable navigating our way back to the ship. I give the tour 5 stars and Trev 5 stars. I highly recommend this tour.Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Fantastic Liverpool Food Walking Tour We booked Gareth Boyd’s food walking tour as a corporate event for our network, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. The evening was incredibly well organised and paced perfectly, with a great mix of food, conversation, walking, and discovering more about the city along the way. Gareth was a fantastic host knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Liverpool. He took us on a food tour through the city with stops at Queens, Pasta Lab/Gran Café, and Lunya, each offering something different and equally enjoyable. Along the way, he shared facts about Liverpool, its history, and famous landmarks, which added so much to the overall experience. The atmosphere throughout was relaxed, welcoming, and full of great conversation. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and it was a brilliant way to bring people together in a more informal setting. We would highly recommend Gareth for corporate groups, team events, or anyone looking for a unique way to experience Liverpool and any other city!+2Posted on Trustindex![]()

Great Liverpool food tour We had a fabulous food walking tour around Liverpool. Our guide, Gareth, was excellent—courteous, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know everyone in the group, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming. Gareth’s local knowledge was outstanding. He shared fascinating insights about the city’s history, culture, and food scene that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. The tour included visits to three independent local restaurants, each offering something different and delicious. The staff at every stop were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about what they do and happy to share their expertise with us. The team warehouse visit was also good fun. Overall, it was a fantastic way to explore Liverpool through its food and people. We would highly recommend this tour to anyonePosted on Trustindex![]()

An delicious afternoon of Wine in Liverpool Attended the Liverpool Wine Tour Experience last Sunday for my 50th Birthday. We were guided expertly by Gareth - who made the job of leading the tour look effortless. The four venues we visited, showcased how far Liverpool has come in terms of food and drink offerings, with a cracking cross-section of varied Independent venues that we will certainly be revisiting. Staff were enthusiastic and welcoming and I would recommend this to both locals and visitors to the city. Dietary requirements were all carefully catered for.Posted on Trustindex![]()

Best Walking Food Tour Experience! I took a few of my clients out on Gareth's Food Tour after having heard the reviews from my colleagues. The tour was absolutely brilliant and worth every penny! Gareth made sure we all were looked after and that we enjoyed every aspect of the tour. On top of the lovely food and drink we had the pleasure of trying, Gareth gave us insights into the history of the places we visited. We tried food and drink from Lunya, Madre, Bar Glue, Hey Farina and BoBo. Gareth introduced us to staff/management at each restaurant who were warm and hospitable. I personally would highly recommend Gareth's tour to anyone who is looking to explore Liverpool's rich and exciting restaurants and bars!+6Posted on Trustindex![]()

Great way to experience Chester with knowledgeable guide, good food and company I did the Chester tour with my father-in-law and Gareth was our guide. We both really enjoyed the experience and learned a fair bit about the city we have lived just 10 miles away from for many years. The food was delicious and all at venues we had not visited before. Gareth was a knowledgeable host and the other guests were good company. I would really recommend the experience and we are already looking forward to doing some of the other city tours.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
