About The Tour
Step into 2,000 years of Chester’s past on a relaxed, guided walk that ends with a well-earned pint at The Pied Bull. Your local guide brings Roman legions, medieval merchants and civil-war intrigue to life as you wander past the city walls, Eastgate Clock and the timber-framed Rows.
We then finish inside the historic Pied Bull for a freshly poured local beer (or a soft drink if you prefer). It’s the perfect mix of stories on foot and a classic Chester pub experience — all drinks included.
The Pied Bull’s on-site microbrewery is multi-award-winning, with CAMRA accolades including Gold 2024 (Minotaur), Bronze 2019 (Taurus), Champion NW 2015 (Blackbull Porter) and Champion Cheshire 2012 (Matador).
