Had a terrific time on the Food & Wine tour of Shrewsbury. Heather our guide was brilliant and was full of interesting information about the city and the places we visited. Lovely city with lots of history and independent shops, restaurants and bars too.  We thought it was quite a lot of money when we booked but came away thinking it’s really good value. Fun Experience
Our friendly and knowledgeable guide was Pete. He took us to four pubs that we never would have found on our own. We enjoyed learning the history of each pub and what made each special. We the food was good, but the portions were small. We both left hungry.

Did this food tour around Liverpool with a mix of American and English friends, and our guide Mikey made the whole thing. He was knowledgeable, funny, and clearly loved the city — weaving in local history between stops so it felt like more than just an eating tour. The food was a great mix of Scouse classics and hidden gems we'd never have found ourselves, with generous portions and perfect pacing. Mikey did a brilliant job explaining British terms and dishes for our American friends without ever making it feel like a lecture, and kept things relaxed enough that the whole group bonded along the way. Excellent walking tour of Liverpool
We had met some American friends so asked for a Beatles slant so started at the Beatles experience. Great experience. Think of the veggies!
A great experience and a great tour guide. My only negative is that as a vegetarian I felt very short changed! 2 of the places, the Spanish tapas and the Italian were heavily weighted towards meat eaters, especially the Italian where everyone ate more cheese than ham! Another FANTASTIC walking food tour ⭐️
We had a fantastic time on the Liverpool Walking Food Tour yesterday. Trev, our guide, was brilliant. Friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was looked after. The food was absolutely delicious with thoughtful options for everyone, including separate plates for vegetarians and even a dedicated vegetarian stop. We were also lucky with the weather, which made the day even better. Big thanks to Gareth too. The booking process was smooth and communication was excellent. I recently took the Liverpool Walking Food Tour and had a fantastic experience. Our guide, Gareth, was absolutely superb. I had previously joined his Chester food tour and was blown away by his knowledge and enthusiasm, so I had high expectations going into this one, and he exceeded them once again.

Gareth's passion for food, local history, and the city itself really shines through. His extensive knowledge of Liverpool, its hidden gems, and the local vendors made the experience both engaging and entertaining from start to finish. The tour offered a great mix of delicious food and fascinating insights, allowing us to discover some wonderful independent businesses and enjoy the very best of what the city has to offer.

What really sets Gareth apart is the extra effort he puts in. After the tour, he followed up with photos he had taken of the group and the locations we visited, along with additional recommendations for places to eat and explore.

The tour was excellent value for money, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Liverpool or even locals looking to discover something new about their city. A definite 10/10 experience, and one I would happily do again!

I gifted my son this tour as a birthday present and we completed the tour together. We are both pretty active and really enjoy good food so it seemed a great idea to combine the two! Booking was really easy and I had great communication from Gareth prior to the date. Gareth met us in person on the day and we embarked on a really enjoyable few hours walking around the city and visiting some lovely eating places. My son and I are familiar with  Chester but we learned some interesting new facts about the city. We also got to visit eating places we hadn’t thought about before, and some we weren’t aware existed! Gareth was a great communicator, both interested and interesting. He had prepared really well for our tour and the hosts at the eating places were welcoming and very hospitable. We ate some really delicious food and learned about its provenance. We both finished the tour feeling very full and having enjoyed a great experience together. Another amazing tour with Mikey. What a day! Even the horrendous rain didn’t dampen our delight!   From beautiful pastries at the Albert Dock (Rough Handmade), amazing aromas of tea at the Liverpool Tea Warehouse and a mix of Spanish (Lunya) and Italian (Hey Farina) food to die for.  And to top it a visit to a cell at The Bridewell  which made us laugh a lot. Everyone at the venues was so friendly and of course Mikey as always was charming. My wife booked the Liverpool Wine Tasting tour and I was nothing but impressed.

Mikey was the perfect host - very professional, passionate and knowledgeable.

We visited 4 venues, 3 of which we’d never knew existed - and we will 100% return.

We had the best time on the wine tour yesterday with Mikey! 🍷 He was absolutely fantastic! so knowledgeable, friendly and clearly passionate about Liverpool.

Mikey took us to some amazing hidden gems that we would never have found ourselves, and what really stood out was how he knew all the names of the staff and history behind every place we visited. He made the whole experience feel really personal and interesting.

We had such a brilliant day, discovered some fantastic places and enjoyed some lovely wine along the way! 🍷🥂

Fantastic Liverpool Food Walking Tour
We booked Gareth Boyd’s food walking tour as a corporate event for our network, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. The evening was incredibly well organised and paced perfectly, with a great mix of food, conversation, walking, and discovering more about the city along the way.

Gareth was a fantastic host knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Liverpool. He took us on a food tour through the city with stops at Queens, Pasta Lab/Gran Café, and Lunya, each offering something different and equally enjoyable. Along the way, he shared facts about Liverpool, its history, and famous landmarks, which added so much to the overall experience.

Great Liverpool food tour
We had a fabulous food walking tour around Liverpool. Our guide, Gareth, was excellent—courteous, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know everyone in the group, which made the experience feel very personal and welcoming.

Gareth’s local knowledge was outstanding. He shared fascinating insights about the city’s history, culture, and food scene that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. 

The tour included visits to three independent local restaurants, each offering something different and delicious. The staff at every stop were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about what they do and happy to share their expertise with us.

The team warehouse visit was also good fun.

Fantastic food tour with Gareth!
We had the most incredible experience on our walking food tour in Chester! Gareth, our fantastic guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating historical insights while guiding us to hidden culinary gems. An delicious afternoon of Wine in Liverpool
Attended the Liverpool Wine Tour Experience last Sunday for my 50th Birthday.
We were guided expertly by Gareth - who made the job of leading the tour look effortless.
The four venues we visited, showcased how far Liverpool has come in terms of food and drink offerings, with a cracking cross-section of varied Independent venues that we will certainly be revisiting. Liverpool walking wine tour
What a fabulous way to spend an evening. Thank you to Gareth our guide making the whole experience fun and interesting . Being from Liverpool I know the city well but it gave us the opportunity to try  different bars from our norm and I will certainly be revisiting them .

Best Walking Food Tour Experience!
I took a few of my clients out on Gareth's Food Tour after having heard the reviews from my colleagues. The tour was absolutely brilliant and worth every penny! Gareth made sure we all were looked after and that we enjoyed every aspect of the tour. On top of the lovely food and drink we had the pleasure of trying, Gareth gave us insights into the history of the places we visited. We tried food and drink from Lunya, Madre, Bar Glue, Hey Farina and BoBo. Gareth introduced us to staff/management at each restaurant who were warm and hospitable. Great way to experience Chester with knowledgeable guide, good food and company
I did the Chester tour with my father-in-law and Gareth was our guide. We both really enjoyed the experience and learned a fair bit about the city we have lived just 10 miles away from for many years. The food was delicious and all at venues we had not visited before. Gareth was a knowledgeable host and the other guests were good company.
