Liverpool Food Tours swooped the New Tourism Business Award at this year’s Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 10th March, the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards returned to the beautiful surroundings of Liverpool Cathedral.
The awards recognise excellence across the city region’s tourism and hospitality industry, with the annual awards delivered by Growth Platform – Liverpool City Region Growth Company.
After a 40% increase in entries, several rounds of judging including interviews and a mystery shop, 17 category winners were announced on the night at The Anglican Cathedral. Liverpool Food Tours was also shortlisted and a finalist in 2 other award categories – Independent Tourism Business of the Year and Experience of the Year.

The award is a BIG thank you to my amazing guests and of course the awesome independents food/drink venues that I partner with. There are exciting growth plans for our tours and winning is a fab catalyst. A special shout out also goes to the superb attractions/venues that were shortlisted/won on the night.’
During the evening, hosted by popular BBC broadcaster Owain Wyn Evans, guests enjoyed a fabulous three course meal courtesy of Horseradish Catering with entertainment from Kasia Masai and Deana Walmsley.
