What inspired you to open Pars Kahve in Chester?

We originally thought we would live in Manchester or Liverpool when we moved to the UK, but Chester stole our hearts! It was amazing to see so many independent hospitality businesses thriving in the city, and we felt we had something unique to offer.

How would you describe the Pars Kahve experience in three words?

Friendly, authentic and tasty — that’s what we always aim for!

What’s been the biggest highlight or proudest moment for you since opening?

It’s very satisfying to be nominated for, and win, awards – so far 2025 has been a great year for us as we won the Cheshire Life Chester Restaurant of the Year award and have now been shortlisted for a Good Food Award. Overhearing people in the city recommending Pars has to top that though!

Winning ‘Chester Restaurant of the Year’ is no small feat – how did that moment feel?

It made all of the hard work over the past four years feel worth it – to be recognised on that level against such strong competition made us very proud.

What dishes or drinks are must-tries when someone visits for the first time?

If you want to try something different, definitely the Menengic (Pistachio) coffee. Turkish kahvaltı has been voted one of the best breakfasts in the world — our kahvaltı plate is the perfect way to start your day.

The hospitality industry can be a rollercoaster – what’s one lesson you’ve learned along the way?

To always be adapting and changing. There are constant challenges that need to be overcome, so take your wins where you can and keep on trucking!

Chester’s food scene is buzzing – what makes it such a special place to run a restaurant?

We think the mixture of locals and tourists is magic. You have regulars who become like family along with a constant stream of new faces. The support that independent businesses receive from the local Chester community is second to none.

What’s next for Pars Kahve – any exciting plans on the horizon?

We have a few exciting things up our sleeve… but you’ll have to wait and see. Keep an eye on our socials for updates!
