Croeso to the Wrexham Food and Drink Tour. Awarded city status in 2022, Wrexham offers a delightful blend of culinary experiences. As you wander through this picturesque town, you'll be treated to a delectable array of dishes and beverages.

Wrexham is on the up - and we’re not just talking about its historic football club. Its food and drink scene is really evolving and we’re excited to be able to showcase.

About Wrexham

Wrexham is located on the border between Wales and England. Whilst in the past, it was predominantly known for its heavy  industries, the last two decades have seen a remarkable metamorphosis. Now a hub for high-tech, manufacturing, technology, and services, the city boasts a vibrant cultural heritage, thriving arts community, and proudly houses the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site.

History

There are plenty of fascinating historical activities to explore in Wrexham, especially those related to the Industrial Revolution. The city is adorned with majestic Victorian viaducts that still stand today, some of which have been recognised by UNESCO as protected World Heritage sites. 

Iconic

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a remarkable engineering marvel of the Industrial Revolution, stands as the crowning jewel of the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal World Heritage Site. Meaning 'the bridge that connects' in Welsh, Pontcysyllte gracefully carries the canal over the beautiful River Dee.
